Our Story
Dr. Yasin Kürşad Varsak
Dr. Yasin Kürşad Varsak was born in Kırıkkale in 1985. He completed middle school at Kırıkkale Anatolian High School and high school at Kırıkkale Science High School, and entered Erciyes University Faculty of Medicine in 2003. In 2007, he was in the United States of America as part of the student exchange program. In 2009, he started his education in Meram Medical Faculty, Department of Otorhinolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery. In 2012, He worked with Eren Berber,MD on Robotic Surgery at the Endocrinology and Metabolism Institute, Department of Endocrine Surgery Cleveland Clinic Cleveland Ohio USA,. In the same year, he met Daniel Alam MD, who performed the first face transplant in the United States, and had the opportunity to observe his work in the field of Facial Plastic Surgery.
In 2012, He studied as a visiting scholar under supervision of Robert K.Jackler,MD Stanford University California USA in Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery Department of Otology, Neurotology and Skull Base Surgery. In 2013 his project with Peter Luke Santa Maria was supported by The Council of Higher Education and The Garnett Passe and Rodney Williams Memorial Foundation Australia. He was appointed to the Stanford otology clinic as a Research Fellow with the support of TUBITAK and YÖK overseas researcher doctor scholarship from Turkey , which he was entitled to receive in order to study for his project. He carried out many scientific studies at Stanford University in 2013. In addition, during his time at Stanford University, he worked on Otology Surgery on freshly frozen cadavers in the Rodney C. Perkins microsurgery laboratory. During this time He had the opportunity to observe the clinical studies and surgeries of Nicholas Blevens,MD.
